DARK GAIA'S PROFILE
Dark Gaia
3474
I develop games and I write. I have a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism. I like writing speculative fiction, horror and literary fiction, sometimes all blended together. You can find elements of my writing in my games, because I consider my games to be stories just that happen to have gameplay.
I post updates on my Facebook and Twitter:

Retro Game Challenge: The Best Thing Ever
It's a game in which you play an 80's kid who plays actual full 80's games in the 80's? It's a wierd idea, but it is actually addictive! The RPG included is on par with an old DQ or FF title!
I'll play yours, you play mine ;)
If you are really so bored... Play and review One Night. Once you have done that I will play a game of yours of your choice and review/comment. I believe in returning the favor.
PARTY TIL THE END OF TIME
Heh. WE don't have any of the Persona games over here in Australia. But anyway, welcome back, I'm sure you were missed.
Torque Game Builder (mac)
I had a Mac at one point and dabbled with using Torque, but it was terrible. I couldn't make head or tail of it and what I could understand was tedious, and badly thought out. There are other systems you can get for Mac, or you can even emulate Windows and use a Windows program, so there's no reason to mess with Torque.
What annoys you in a game?

Sometimes it's best to have a more original title as to not confuse the players. For instance, my game was called Dragon Heart, but about one in five people would mistake it for a game based off the movie Dragonheart. To avoid confusion (I hadn't heard of the movie 'till after I named the game), I ended up changing my game's name to something more original. (And something of which I could nab the domain. heh heh heh)
Well, judging a game by its title is pretty moronic.
So that's why you changed it. I remember playing Dragonheart: Chapter 3, The Prelude To Pandemonium a year or so ago on Kobra's Realm, and later I saw the exact same game under the name Starless Umbra.
What RM games are you playing right now?
I keep trying to play One Night, but it keeps crashing after the first few rooms for some reason.
Yeah... The original download I posted had a lot of missing file errors, so I had to upload a new one which fixes those errors.
Right now I am playing through the Innovationist's story in Alter Aila.
Final Fantasy 13 Delayed
Nope, not the first. There was Terra in FFVI before her, and also Yuna in X-2. But yes, female mains are quite rare.
Advert Topics
Well, it doesn't have to be a One Hour rule, I was only using it as an example, but a rule to have playable content of some kind should certainly be implemented.
Advert Topics
Over on RRR, we have a rule that you cannot set up an advertisement topic unless you have a playable version of your game at least an hour long to go with it.
Perhaps you should consider a rule like that or something relating to advert topics, as I agree that releasing a topic but never a demo is pointless hype and thus spam.
